29 June – 3 July film festival “Open Your Eyes!” will take place in Vologda organized by the RSDUY, Russian Socialistic movement and Assembly of the peoples of Russia. The Festival will be held on the summer porch of the “Prado” club. Media group “Severgazmedia” will act as the main informational partner of the Festival. Program of the festival: 29 June, Wednesday, 19.00: “Please love me”. Documentary about the journalist of the “Novaya gazeta” Anastasia Baburova who wrote about such problems as nationalism and xenophobia. Russia, 83 minutes, directed by Valery Balayan. The movie was provided by the director Valery Balayan himself. 30 June, Thursday, 19.00: “The Edge of Heaven”. Fiction film about the life of Turks in the modern Germany. Germany, 122 minutes, directed by Fatih Akın. This film was provided by the German cultural Goethe center in Moscow. 1 July, Friday, 19.00: “Together”. Fiction film about the life of the hippy commune, consisting of representatives of different subcultures and political views. Sweden, 106 minutes, directed by Lukas Moodysson. This film was provided by the “Memphis” film-studio (Stockholm, Sweden). 2 July, Saturday, 15.00: “From Tajikistan to St.Petersburg”. Documentary about the Tajiks who moved from Tajikistan to work and study in St.Petersburg. Russia, 30 minutes, directed by Svetlana Kunetsius, idea by Yury Ioffe. Film “From Tajikistan to St.Petersburg” was provided by Yury Ioffe.
